I got laid off today and really am a bit confused at the moment.  I don’t know if I should be happy or sad.  It does scare me about having to start over again with a new job and I know the market is slow right now.  Should I finish school?  Should I find any job?  I’m indifferent!  Any Ideas?

The weeks leading up to Easter I was doing a bit of spring cleaning due to the fact I was volunteered to cook and host Easter dinner.  I went ballistic!  I got as far as cleaning the walls in my kitchen bathroom living room and the dining room.  I know I’m anal.  I also found out that my mother was taking vacation the entire time my kids were on break.  SWEET  I have had a full 10 days without kids.  Party!  Well, not really.  I spent most of the week catching up on movies I haven’t seen.

Back to Easter Dinner…

I tell everyone that was invited to arrive at 3:00 sharp.  I think that request went in one ear ant out the other.  I had people here at 1:50.  I was pissed, the ham still needed another 2 hours and 10 min to cook.  I wasn’t done with the vacuuming and I needed to take care of the guinea pigs.  Well another guest arrived at about 2:30 and my dad waited until almost 4:30.  I don’t get it next year im telling the early people 5:00 and the people that come late 2:00. 

I was nice and put out some munchies potato chips dip and some taco dip and chips well my mothers slow half brother who assumes everything is for him ate all the dip before everyone else got to the house.  I did make the comment to my mother “does anyone feed him?”  She better not invite him next year.  Not to mention that he came back for 2nds 3rds and possibly 4ths after the ham came out. What a pig!  Everything else that happened was expected.  I don’t like it when I invite people and they take the liberty to invite others to the party without clearing it with me first its just rude!

So that was my Easter.

I would say about a year or so ago I read, “He’s just not that into me”  Lessons learned.   Since my divorce I have been trying to date people.  I’m not having a lot of luck.  Maybe I’m just too picky or that I know what I am looking for.  So about 3 months ago I met this really nice guy and we went out on the first date and had a really good time.  Bowling to be exact I’m not really good but I did try.  So we talked on the Internet and on the phone me calling him.  Went out on the second date had a good time again.  Well I have decided that 2 dates in 3 months and not a single phone call to me is enough.  I’m done.  Again the book has guided me through yet another instance of “he is just that not into me.  At least I made it to the second date this time.  Hey guys the next one I’m going for 3.

 I will be starting my “Fire Sale” soon LMAO Lets just say the night I watched it I neede somethine “actiony”  Typical of the Die Hard franchise.

I noticed while doing the laundry this weekend that all of my sons shirts are right side out and my daughters are all inside out.  I just thought that this was strange and never really paid all that much attention to it before.   It’s the same thing with the pants. 

Why can’t my daughter be a little more like my son.  Well maybe not all the time.  Sunday he was opening the toilet to go pee and the lid came back and hit him in the head while he was bending over to pull down his pants.  So I guess I dont want her doing that.  Kids are silly.

at work today I really did have something to blog about but my sometimers must be kicking in again.  It was there and then “poof”  I lost it.  I hate it whrn that happens.

My head is empty today.

I think of my son when I see things like this. I have included the text as well as the picture for your total enjoyment.  Anyone who has kids can appreciate this.  It’s like that time when my daughter mispelled shirt on one of her 2nd grade papers.  I should find that thing and post the photo anyway here it goes.

There are times when kids draw something and you just have to say… “Wow, tell me about your picture,” because you have no clue what it is…This one you know right away…Enjoy!  

Normally I just delete this stuff but when I opened this one it made me laugh real hard!  this was the entire message. I think you get the idea.

I spent part of the last 24 hours in the ER with my son who is 5.  He was complaining of a headache.  This started the night before.  I gave him Tylenol which as soon as it wore off the headache came right back again.  After 3 doses and having the same thing happen I decided to call the on call nurse.  This is where its funny I have like 2 friends who are nurses and I couldn’t get a hold of either one of them.  It was like 10:00 in the evening.  So I got a hold of the nurse on call at the doctors office I go to.  They told me to take him in to the ER.  At this point I was concerned and called to leave a message with my employer.  I was unsure that I would be in the office this morning.  I woke my daughter up who had been sleeping since about 8:30 this was a chore.  I felt horrible and she seemed scared when I told her we had to take her little brother to the hospital so late at night.  So we get there wait around for a while and then we are finally directed to a room.  Many colored pages later the Dr finally comes in to do an exam on my son.  All the neurological tests were fine and it was determined that he had been hit with some sort of viral infection.  I was instructed to give him some Motrin for the pain. Needless to say our total time in the ER was short but we did end up getting home at around 1:30 in the morning.  I kept both the kids home today because my son still had a fever and my daughter was just exhausted from staying up so late.  I hated to miss another day of work and used my last sick day because my alternate sitter was busy with his on hospital visits.  I’m sure I will be penalized tomorrow.  They have no sympathy for me.  I’m hoping that the kids can go at least a month or 2 without getting sick. 

I am realizing that the migration from blogger and my space isnt going to be an easy one.  I notice a lot of dead links in wordpress I dont know if i am going to bother updating them.  Well I hope you guys are enjoynig the show.
